June 2026 Color Alert®

Natural World • Grounded • Appealing

The world of color often sees similar hues through shared lenses, and this is true of hues emerging from Asia Pacific and Europe. Mineral Pink (AP) and Harmony (EU) share the same hue and differ only in the strength of their chroma, with Harmony appearing slightly stronger. Developed independently from one another, they reflect a shared global direction in color thinking.

Discussed during CMG Asia Pacific Forecasting Sessions for 2026, Mineral Pink is defined as a low chroma, warm orange with a mineral quality. Inspired by rocks and raw materials, it references both precious and finite resources. Its subtle red content lends a quasi-pink appearance, echoing hues found in nature and suggesting a soft, tactile quality. The overall color creates an illusion of texture that evokes the Earth’s raw, untouched beauty. It is softly emotive, with a sense of connection to the land, and it encourages a message of environmental sustainability.

Mineral Pink softens the sharpness of digital-driven products, making it well-suited for consumer electronics, home décor, and accessories. It signals a shift away from beige, pairing naturally with terra-cotta, moss, and deep navy. In fashion, it extends easily into monochromatic palettes, offering understated depth.

At CMG’s European Forecasting Sessions for 2026, the low-chroma, earthy, reddish orange of Harmony resonates deeply with our roots and grounding. While closely related to Mineral Pink, Harmony reads as more structural and anchoring. It supports a natural-material palette and reinforces a desire for authenticity in designed environments, emphasizing organic colors and materials to foster a sense of connection with the earth.

Harmony has a subdued quality that will benefit commercial spaces, particularly retail interiors. As a hue that provides a grounding inspiration, it is ideal for flooring materials to suggest a connection to the earth and create a visual release from modern tech complexities. It is made fresher when combined with slightly acidic yellow-greens and pale blue. With a matte or textured finish, Harmony will also make the jump to residential spaces and fashion, offering a sense of solace and balance.

Though developed independently and continents apart, these hues share a common intention: to reconnect with the earth and introduce moments of calm within increasingly complex environments.

About CMG's Color Alert®

Color Alert is an exciting monthly feature from Color Marketing Group® (CMG), illuminating one color each month from our World Color Forecast™ and validating our color predictions in the market. As a color litmus test, and drawing from North American, European, Latin American, and the Asia Pacific directional Forecasts, Color Alert brings CMG's directional color stories to life, whether seen on store shelves, cruising along highways, or strutting fashion runways.

Color Marketing Group holds Color Forecasting Workshops - ChromaZones - and international Color Conferences to determine color direction approximately two years in advance (depending on industry). For instance, colors for 2026 were forecast back in 2024.  As the year unfolds we reveal one color per month. The results from these events are consolidated to form CMG's World Color Forecast which is revealed annually at CMG's International Summit.

Color Marketing Group is ready to share the excitement of color on an international scale and Color Alert lets the world know that CMG members are spot on with color direction. The eyes of its members are keen on the current emergence of color while staying focused on future hues. Knowledge, discovery, direction, and affirmation make Color Marketing Group the premier international association for color design professionals, and Color Alert allows us to share it with the world.
