The Value of Color Direction Patterns in CMG Color Forecasts

Color Marketing Group® introduced the Color Direction Program in 1972. The first Color Directions Report predicted colors for 1973-1974 to show a direction for color in the future as a working tool for CMG members. Leaping forward in time, Montaha Hidefi, VP of Color Forecasting, will embark on an expedition through 50 years of CMG forecasting seasons to analyze data from 1976+, 1986+, 1996+, 2006+, and 2016+ forecasts and compare them to the 2026+ World Color Forecast™. This exploration seeks to uncover the directions of color families at these mid-decade points and identify recurring patterns.
